Eric Greenwald

Eric Greenwald, PhD, is a learning sciences researcher and the Research Strand Lead at UC Berkeley’s Lawrence Hall of Science. There he leads several projects studying the teaching and learning of science and engineering practices, with a focus on the intersection of science and computational thinking. In his role, he also helped lead the development of a nationally recognized science curriculum for grades K-8. He holds a PhD in Curriculum and Teacher Education from Stanford University, a teaching certificate and Masters in Science Education from Teachers College Columbia University, and a BA in Chemistry from Indiana University. Prior to graduate school, he taught math and science in public high schools for 6 years.
